ABOUT AFRO ART

The idea has always been to collaborate with local artisans to make the crafts from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America visible.
A large part of Afroart's range is developed by Afroart Studio, Afroart's own design team. The idea is to use design as a tool to develop and adapt the traditional craft to the market and thus contribute to creating new jobs in regions where craft is today the most important source of income. This means that unique craft traditions have the opportunity to survive and that Afroart's customers have access to the world's crafts.

Crafts in themselves do not wear out nature's resources and require little energy. The production mainly takes place from natural or recycled materials. Afroart's range is made by hand and mostly in the countryside, which means that people can stay in their hometowns and not be forced to go to the cities to work.

Afroart imports directly from artisans or via fair trade organisations.
Fair trade is a matter of course for us!
