Elsa Gullberg (1886–1984) was one of the most accomplished professional women of her time - an artistically gifted textile pioneer.
Elsa Gullberg created a link between handicraft and industry. She was active for a time and in a circle where the Swedish heritage and the handmade became the starting point for a new interior textile that came to be placed among the foremost in the West.
In 1927, she started Sweden's first modern interior design company, Elsa Gullberg - Textiles and interior design.
Elsa Gullberg - A life in textiles is part of the series Studies in textile and fashion science with Klas Nyberg as editor.
